Hey amigos y amigas, you are listening to the English Made Simple show this is episode 2-2-1, number two hundred and twenty one, numero doscientos veinti uno.
Welcome amigos y amigas, welcome to the old and new amigos! Welcome to today’s episode of the English Made Simple show, this is episode number 2-2-1, and in today’s episode I want to teach you about starting conversations in English. Or to say it in a fancier way: how to spark conversations in English and how to have sparkling conversations.
Sparkling is a fancy-shmancy word. It means glittering, shiny and metaphorically speaking in this case, it means interesting, engaging and captivating conversations.
Sparkling is also an adjective if you are interested to know and if you’d like to use it one day.
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Milena and I am the host of the English Made Simple show, and you can find me at www.englishmadesimple.net.
Do you remember from a couple of episodes ago, I talked mentioned the word CONVERSATION and the slang word for conversation that was CONVO. C O N V O.
This is important to know because I’ve got a gift for you so it’s important to know to spell this word.
Go to, www.englishmadesimple.net/convo to claim your gift – CONVO is short for conversation.
I prepared an eBook and an Audio file that will help you plan, prepare and execute a conversation in English.
I call it an Audio book.
Inside the Audiobook, you’ve also got homework to do at home by yourself.
It’s an interesting exercise actually, it’s more of a questionnaire than an exercise, but it will still help you prepare for future conversations. It will help you when you have to attend an event, a conference, business networking event, and any time you have social outings.
Let me tell you about this Audiobook first….The Audio book is called: How to Simplify A Conversation.
—-
In this Audiobook I teach you the exact steps you need to take before a conversation and during a conversation with someone. The information contained in this book applies to you if English is your second language.
You will learn the following:
-You will learn about the Game plan and why you need to create a Conversation Game plan before going out to an event
-How to make small talk with other English-speakers and the best topics to talk about during small talk
-You’ll learn about conversation starters – what are these, anyway? I’ll give you a hint, they are useful questions to know to help you initiate a conversation.
-I also share 3 easy ways to spark conversations with anyone
-Plus, you’ll get the bonus pages:
-Your Task- the homework – It’s your turn to prepare for small talk with the help of a questionnaire I prepared for you.
– And you’ll also get the Top 14 questions you can ask to help you start conversations with other English-speakers.
I know how frustrating it can be to NOT be able to express yourself clearly with others when you’re talking to them. Especially as non-English speakers we are trying so hard to sound confident and not make any mistakes!
I know how this feels, I had some embarrassing moments myself when I first started chatting with my new friends in English and my colleagues.
So amigos, this is why I created this Audiobook and this is why I wanted to share it with you because I don’t want you to be like me.
At least now, you’ll be better prepared the next time you engage in conversation with someone :)
And maybe this time, you’ll be having a more sparkling conversation.
Simply go to www.englishmadesimple.net/convo to get your Audio book.
Thanks for joining me today amigos y amigas. Hope you enjoyed today’s episode.
