Welcome amigos y amigas. This is your host Milena speaking, you’re tuning into the English Made Simple show. If you’d like to check me out you can find me at www.englishmadesimple.net. This is where I live, this is my home. While you’re there, you can find a huge list of episodes of the EMS show as well as useful resources to help you accelerate your English language learning.
Thank you for joining me in today’s episode.
Today we’ll continue with our Short Chats segment. I think I have about three more short chat episodes prepared for you, I hope you’re enjoying them.
Today we’re going to learn how to ‘make an appointment with a friend”.
You’re going to learn some new phrases and new vocabulary. More specifically you’re going to learn some slang. Colloquial phrases, informal phrases, the way friends would talk with each other. Very casual, not talking like the ‘Queen from England.’ That would be what I’d call ‘proper English’.
Before we begin, may I just say, thanks everyone for your patience as you wait patiently for my next episode.
As you’ve noticed, I’ve been releasing episodes sporadically as I’ve been busy with some personal matters.
So thank you again for your patience.
Let’s get crackin with today’s episode.
So you know how this works, I will read a very short script between two people. And after I finish it, you’ll get a chance to repeat some phrases after me.
I will randomly select the phrases then you’ll have to repeat them out loud.
