Let’s get straight into it.

Phrase #1 – A Train of Thought

So what does this mean?

It’s a sequence of connected ideas or thoughts.

The phrase “a train of thought” is most commonly used when someone is discussing or describing their sequence of connected ideas or thoughts. It’s often used when someone is explaining a concept, sharing an opinion, or narrating a story, and they want to convey the flow or progression of their thoughts.

For example, you might hear someone say, “Sorry, I lost my train of thought there,” indicating that they were momentarily distracted and their sequence of ideas was interrupted. It’s a versatile phrase used in various contexts, from casual conversations to formal presentations.

Let me give you another example:

“As I was explaining the new project proposal, I suddenly lost my train of thought when the fire alarm went off.”

I highly recommend you practice using this phrase. You’ll get to do it at the end of the episode.

Alrighty…
