A quick question amigos…
Do you have to speak English like a native speaker… and I mean in the sense of using the same intonation of words, having the same accent as a person who was born in an English-speaking country?
Speaking just like a native speaker.
To this say I say: Naaaah. You don’t have to sound the same. I don’t have an Aussie accent.
But here’s what you can do instead is…
You can work on reducing your accents to the level that is as close to that of the native speaker, you can incorporate new words into your life, learn colloquial phrases to help you fit in and integrate faster.
I had always wondered are some of you listening aspiring to sound more like a native speaker?
I don’t know. I kinda like my accent. I like foreign accents in general, there’s always something interesting about the person when you hear they have an accent.
Ok, so where am I going with this?
I’m trying to motivate you to not worry about your accents too much but instead start building your personal vocabulary of words and phrases to resemble how native speakers talk.
Ok, sounds good?
Well, great because today, I want to help you with that.
Today, I’ll tell you about an ebook I created just for you. And we’ll also have the Repeat After Me phrase as well today.
Remember, how I created a speaking challenge called TheConvoStarter challenge, then found out that the majority of you are feeling a bit shy to do the challenge? It’s understandable.
30+ Conversation Starters to Help You Break the Ice

The first part of the ebook contains 30+ Conversation starters that I have personally used here in Australia but also, I’ve included some my friends used as well. I’ve asked them for some ideas they were kind enough to share their examples.
