Welcome back everybody, welcome back to the EMS show. This podcast is right for you if you want to improve your listening and speaking skills. It will help you build a vocabulary of new words and it will also help you improve your pronunciation. You’re in the right place amigos y amigas.

Alrighty amigos y amigas, so we’re at number 241. And my name is Milena and I am the host of the English Made Simple show, AND you can find me at www.englishmadesimple.net, englishmadesimple (punto) net.

Have you been well amigos?

Have you been practicing those conversation starters I mentioned last week?

If you are new to the show, go back one episode and listen to the last episode, number 241 – it’s about conversation starters.

I created an Audiobook just for the listeners of the show.

You can learn more about this Audiobook if you visit www.englishamdesimple.net/conversation.

It’s another Audiobook from the EMS repertoire.

Here’s the link again in case you didn’t catch it: www.www.englishmadesimple.net/conversation.

The audiobook will help you prepare for IELTS, if you’re struggling with the listening part of the exam, and also it will help you build up your vocabulary with new words.

Alrighty.

Today, I’d like to do a short episode about asking questions when people least expect it.

Today’s episode is not a lesson per sé, I’m not teaching you anything specific. Today’s episode is a challenge. Plus you’ll have a repeat after me segment as well.

Today, we chat with a shop assistant.

If you live in an English-speaking country already you might be able to do this challenge. For those living in your own countries where they don’t speak English, I’ll offer an alternative.

Let’s call this challenge: a Milena’s challenge.

Let’s see if you’re up to do it.

But first, let me ask you a question.

Have you ever gone to a shop… let’s say to buy shoes… and as soon as you entered the shop the service attendant approached you… but you just didn’t feel in the mood to talk….

Do you ever feel like chatting with a shopping assistant?
