Maybe you shop for groceries – the stuff you buy at a supermarket, maybe you like to buy shoes, maybe you shop for clothes, maybe you shop for video games, do a bit of online shopping…
I don’t think I’ve ever done an episode about this. More specifically about being at a checkout.
I’m using checkout as a noun here.

Checkouts.
What is a checkout?
According to Weon Inteligente “the place in a shop, especially a large food shop, like a supermarket, where you pay for your goods”
It’s that thing that goes “beep, beep”
My very first job was working at the checkouts at our local supermarket in New Zealand. The name of the supermarket was Pak N Save.
I did mention my working at the supermarket in one of the earlier episodes but I didn’t mention the phrases you’d expect to hear once you’re there.
Today, I’ll share 3 phrases that you’d expect to hear when you’re out shopping and wanting to pay for your goods.
I’ll share more examples in my emails, so be sure to enter your details to keep updated.
